Why this exists
Cap table math is deterministic. Spreadsheets are not. Workbooks break when you add a holder. A down round takes forty-five minutes. The file lives on a laptop, or in Slack.

- The modeling app has no paywall, no seats, no trial. Optional website embeds have a separate branding tier; that is not this tool.

- Deal data stays in your browser (
localStorage). Normal modeling does not send the cap table to CapStack. The host sees a page load. Fonts come from Google. Optional AI and feedback leave the machine only if you use them. Privacy. - Control
- Export JSON. Import it later. Close the tab. There is no shared cloud file and no login to revoke. Terms.
